Lie Detector/Polygraph Tests

- Do you have a family issue that needs resolving?
- Have you been accused of something that you did not do?
- Are you worried that your partner may be cheating?
When the trust is lost or in question in a relationship, it could take years to recover, if ever. In most cases, the evidence of INFIDELITY is not definitive.
The only way to find out the truth is through a polygraph/lie detector test. Polygraph tests have been used extensively in relationship issues. This is one area of testing where experience makes a big difference. The wording of test questions is critical to achieve a successful exam; different people interpret words differently.
This format is used to determine whether one partner has been intimately/sexually involved with someone other than his or her partner. Included in this format may be questions about dating, kissing, and physical contact with others.
It is also vital that your examiner is highly qualified and here is where we can give you the ultimate peace of mind. Our examiners are Directors of the British and European Polygraph Association and full members of the American Polygraph Association.

Personal History
This specific format is appropriate when a partner needs to verify aspects of his/her partner’s background, such as sexual history, drug or alcohol habits, gambling, health issues (particularly STD’s), and excessive financial obligations.
Internet Activities
Not all “cheating” requires physical contact. Polygraph can be used to determine the extent of “sexual” activities conducted over the internet, such as visits to pornographic sites, dating sites, visits to sexual chat rooms, interactive sexual web sites, or having “cybersex” (sexual chat) with someone who is not his/her partner.
The polygraph test can also be used whenever truth is needed for example- Pre-employment screening, sexual abuse concerns, theft to drugs abuse, family disputes etc
Personal Theft Issues
Parents use Polygraph testing as an investigative tool, to aid in determining the truth when family members, children or acquaintances have fallen under suspicion to be involvement or knowledge in recent thefts, embezzlement, vandalism, of personnel property.
Employment Theft Issues
Polygraph Exams are used by many employers as an investigative tool, to aid in determining whether, or not employees had any involvement or knowledge in recent thefts, embezzlement, vandalism, or misappropriations of company funds or property.
Who will conduct my test?
For your peace of mind, your test will be personally conducted by The Chairman of the British and European Polygraph Association, which is the largest polygraph association in Britain and Europe or one of the Association`s other Directors.
Our customers also need the entire issue handled with extreme sensitivity, accuracy, and they also want the problem resolved as quickly as possible. In most circumstances we can come to your home or office, but if you wish to use a local meeting room, we can undertake the test there. Our examiners are very discreet and experienced, so please be reassured that if you book a test with us it will be handled with great sensitivity. If you require more than one or two tests we offer even more highly competitive discounts.
We do NOT charge any extra if you wish the test to be performed over a weekend or on an evening. Tests can be arranged at very short notice to accommodate your own timetable. If you are looking for a peace of mind, then trust a company where accuracy really matters. We have a policy of no one should wait more than one week for the truth, therefore places do get booked up quickly. For your peace of mind the accuracy of the polygraph test is estimated to be approximately 98%, when conducted by a qualified examiner using the most up to date computerised equipment. Our examiners only use the very latest computerised equipment and our examiners are trained to employ the very latest interview and analysis techniques.
All our examiners are fully qualified and were all trained at American Polygraph Association approved academies. All our examiners are members of the prestigious British and European Polygraph Association and the American Polygraph Association. Membership of these Polygraph Associations is strictly regulated and controlled. The test normally lasts about 2-3 hours and comprises of 3 parts.
Part 1
We spend about one hour discussing the issue with the person to be examined, then we agree the questions to be asked and explain the actual test procedure.
Part 2
This is the actual testing section, where the examinee is attached to several measurement components. We normally run 3 tests, with a short break in between.
Part 3
This is the evaluation of the test sheets and reporting back after a post test interview. In most cases we can give you the results of the test within minutes of it being completed.
The Polygraph test your questions answered.
Q. How accurate is the polygraph?
A. The polygraph technique is very accurate. According to the American Polygraph Association, over 250 studies have been conducted over the past twenty-five years on the accuracy of polygraph testing. It is estimated that the accuracy of the results is in the range of 90 – 95 %. More recently, research has shown that the accuracy of computerized polygraph testing is 98 %.
Q. Is the polygraph like the lie detector?
A. Yes. The polygraph instrument is a scientific, diagnostic instrument which is often called the “lie detector”. It would be more appropriate, however, to call it the “truth verifier”.
Q. I am telling the truth but I am nervous about taking a polygraph examination. How does the polygraph establish the difference between the state of nervousness and reactions as a result of lying?
A. It is quite normal for an innocent person to feel nervous and the polygrapher is very aware of this. Nervous reactions which are recorded on the polygraphic charts are not interpreted by the polygrapher as a manifestation of deception. Nervous reactions are completely different from those reactions that are recorded when a person is deliberately lying.
Q. Can I know what the questions on the polygraph examination will be beforehand?
A. Yes. You will be informed of the exact wording of each question that will be asked of you during the course of the polygraph examination. There will be no “trick” questions.
Q. How long does a polygraph examination take?
A. A polygraph examination takes about two to three hours, however, some may take more or less time, depending on the nature of the issue under investigation.
Q. Why does a polygraph examination take two to three hours?
A. The examiner will give a detailed explanation of the polygraph procedure, how the polygraph works, and he will answer any questions that the examinee may have. The examiner will also inform and discuss the result of the examinee’s polygraph examination.
Q. Can you carry out tests in any foreign languages?
A. AIC can carry out tests in any language via a team of highly skilled linguistic experts available to us.

Private Eyes – ‘Regulated or Not’
We have written many news posts regarding the Private Investigations industry and the Governments reluctance to regulate what we do. We have all watched the SIA fail miserably in their attempts to become the governing body. They kept us all hanging on for years with more and more false promises and as the pressure got applied for them to deliver they pulled the rug from under us a few months back with an announcement they were resigning from their responsibilities and we are all left with a big void again.
"So where the hell do we go from here?" that is the question AIC Legal is asking today! I doubt very much this question will ever get answered and i would imagine to stay the way we are suits quite a few Investigators out there who i doubt would even clear a CRB check at best. It does not suit us as now is the time to clean this industry up.
"Where does AIC go from here?" that is my next question and one that is much easier for me to answer as our Private Investigation Detective agency was already making plans way ahead of the SIA failing us and we are already a long way down the road to putting our own systems in place. All our staff are CRB checked and then checked further with our own in house team. All our Staff have been trained to the highest levels of surveillance and investigations and the reason for that is that they are all former Police and Military personell with years of experience. We are totally unique in that we have continuous on going training for our expert services so we ensure the best value for money in the UK. We are well into completing the ISO9001 and ISO27001 the most recognisable standards and sytems of work in Europe.
Being the best Private Detective agency in the UK is a weight we do not mind having on our shoulders because we have all the systems in place to keep us there and to continually improve. We use the most sophisticated in equipment on the market and some of our more specialist equipment is made by our equipments expert.

AIC Legal Services Ltd are the 1st Private Detective and Investigation company to have acheived the ISO:9001 National standards Award. This highlights why AIC is now by far 'The best Detective and Covert Surveillance company in the East Midlands." Hundreds of man hours were spent by all the staff in acheiving this great recognition. Please feel to have a look at our certificate of Registration. http://www.aiclegalservicesltd.co.uk/iso90012008.html The Association Of British Investigators (ABI), has not even acheived such an award and it beggars the question as to who does their internal monitoring and auditing for customer satisfaction and for their own improvements. Again I will ask the question "why is this industry not regulated and if Private Investigators have no formal proof of conducting surveillance and covert operations why have they been allowed to join associated bodies?" Answers on a post card!! AIC Legal Services Ltd surveillance and Investigators are all former Police Officers or surveillance trained military staff with years of experience and who can stand in a witness box and give expert evidence. Well if our enquiries in 2011, relating to unfaithful and cheating partners is anything to go by then there will be a few Sad New Years. Unfortunately the Xmas parties and the lads and girls nights out bring many insecurities for their partners left at home. The smell of perfume or aftershave off someone else, the lips stick on the collar, the text messages which have been left on and read by the partner. January always brings in more investigation calls for our private detectives at AIC regarding the investigations and surveillance of the man or woman who feels they have been cheated on and many fear that the kiss at the xmas party has led on into an affair. Certainly a Sad New Year for many if all we hear from Mr Cameron and what we read in the papers is true. Its all about cuts and hiking up bills. I could never understand a Goverments decision to inform the public of cuts and raises just after most have spent their last penny to ensure their families had a nice xmas only to walk into the New Year to hear all the doom and gloom. Its certainly a Happy New Year for those in the highest positions where pay rises never seem to end with unrealistic figures which one finds very difficult to comprehend when those at the bottom are being warned of cuts and withdrawal of benefits. A debate worth having but one which is avoided by those at the top. Unfortunately for the line of work we are in we bring Happy New Years and Sad New Years depending on which side of the fence you are on. Investigations and Surveillance including all our services will continue with the same effort and where possible, more to ensure we bring a happy smile to all our clients but unfortunately in unfaithful partner cases even we get a fantastic result for our client the news can be very hard to take. AIC team are all trained to show compassion and empathy in such cases and to comfort our clients by always listening to them. "4 out of 5 sick are fit to work" has been released in the Sun News Paper today as the latest offical figures. If you follow the thread of some of our old posts you will see that AIC Legal Services have been pointing this out for sometime. However even these figures are worse than what we thought.
That equates to a sickening figure of 78% of those claiming to be on some form of sickness benifits have failed to qualify under the new Government tests. Why on earth has this been allowed to go on for so long and where is the Doctors accountability in all these cases. 2.1 million people are to be tested for incapacity benifit so if these early figures are anything to go by then this isvery encouraging indeed to help lift the country out of the debt it is in.
AIC Legal Services are also of the opinion that the Private sector needs similar testing and needs to have more investigations and surveillance as part of major routine testing of false sickness. Sickness and absenteeism is costing the economy in excess of 6 billion pounds a year so it is now time to get in touch with us and help you stamp it out once and for all. False sickness is theft of your money, money that could be used in different ways during a tough recession. AIC specialise in work related stress claims and the abuse of sickness and absenteeism.
