A Private Investigator in Nottingham “The Changes”

Posted 16 May ,2011 in AIC Legal Services, Computer Forensics, Detective Agency, Investigations, Private Detective, Private Investigations

Is it time for a CHANGE and it needs to happen NOW! The Goverment may wish to turn a blind eye to the non regulation of this industry and hope companies like me will go away but that is not going to happen. Of course the situation suits many because they will have no surveillance or Investigation background as they will not have been in the Police or Military like all the staff we have.

Investigators in this country are dealing high profile data and in the wrong hands it could be disastrous. We have carried out surveillance and covert operations on section 1 sex offenders, fortunately for the Council department they came to the correct investigation company who have all the training and skills to carry out such work. Can you imagine giving this work to some cowboy outfit who never did a days surveillance training or investigation in their life time!!

Do Cowboys get asked to do this type of work? YES YES YES they do because most people who come to a Private Investigation company naturally assume that our industry is regulated. Also clients look at badges from associations such as the ABI Association Of British Investigators but apart from a 3 yearly crb check and a flashy badge for a logo they themselves are guilty of allowing untrained members to join. This is completely wrong in my opinion and only allows them to boast the amount of members they have. A 3 year CRB check is hardly adequate in todays world and a hell of a lot of crime can be committed in 3 years. Associated memberships should not allow members to use and abuse their positions on the top table to promote their own companies and cream off the top of the work but unfortunately it happens.

AIC Legal Services is one of only a handful of investigation companies to have been awarded the ISO9001, An Internationally recognised set of standards which sets us apart from 95% of other companies and something I dont think the Associated body ABI has even been able to attain.

This company thinks that the bench mark for Investigation companies and associations should be the ISO:9001 and ISO:27001 and we also believe that this would weed out the cowboys and rogues and allow Private Investigators and also allow members to make informed decisions about what associated bodies they were joining.
